Calma Reflexology is run by Clinical Reflexologist Joanne Buckley BA (Hons), GJC (Dip. Reflex), MAR. Joanne holds the ABC level 3 Diploma in reflexology, including anatomy, physiology and pathology and trained for a year at Jubilee College with David Wayte, the only reflexologist in the UK to be made a member of the Royal Society of Medicine.

 

She is also a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR), registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), is fully insured and trained in First Aid for Appointed Persons. Joanne also has up to date CRB clearance. Calma Reflexology offers hand and foot reflexology to Clients in the South Manchester area.

 

Joanne has trained in reflexology to enhance fertility and maternity care and has undertaken additional training at Christies, Manchester, to adapt reflexology for cancer and hospice work. She has also trained to give aromatherapy foot massage as part of a reflexology treatment which means Joanne can select essential oils to boost treatment if appropriate. In order to be a full member of the AOR, Joanne undertakes a programme of continual ongoing professional development. 

 

Joanne is passionate about introducing others to reflexology and is constantly amazed at the powerful results it can bring. Joanne offers clients a down to earth and thorough approach to this powerful therapy. Every client is treated as an individual and all consultations and treatments are confidential.

Calma Reflexology is proud to be a member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners which is managed by the NHS Trusts Association. The directory is compiled and managed only for use by NHS healthcare professionals by the NHS Trusts Association, the leading professional association for primary care in the UK.

About the AOR

The AOR is the largest, leading independent professional body of its kind for Reflexologists and is a member of the Reflexology Forum, Reflexology in Europe Network and the International Council for Reflexologists. It arose from a need to regulate standards and to provide a network of qualified practitioners within a responsible organisation to which the public can refer with confidence.

 

MAR stands for “Member of the Association of Reflexologists” and is the most respected designation in reflexology, sought after by the public, the media and the medical profession. It is a sign of integrity and quality backed by high levels of training and excellent service.
