How to choose a reflexologist
 
When choosing a reflexologist, it is essential that you should be able to have complete confidence in your therapist, safe in the knowledge that they are well trained, fully qualified, and competent to treat you, and your problem, in a professional manner.
 
In your search you may well see many different letters after a therapists name, which can make it quite confusing, however therapists who belong to the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) have been trained to exacting professional standards. They are governed by strict Codes of Practice and ethics and are fully insured. Full members use the letters MAR and are listed in the Association's Register of Practitioners.

 

Another good way to choose any complementary therapist is by recommendation. Try asking people you know if they know of anyone who is receiving treatment, and is satisfied with the results of that treatment.

Things to consider
 
  • Is the therapist a member of the AOR?
  • Is the therapist registered with the CNHC?
  • Does this person seem professional?
  • Could I relax with this person, and talk to them    honestly?
  • Are the therapy rooms convenient?
  • Will the therapist be willing to give me treatments at home?
  • Is the therapist fully insured?
